Marketing Should Have a Reason.

Hi, I'm Charlene — Founder of StoryArk & Fractional CMO.

I help businesses and organizations turn scattered marketing efforts into clear, intentional strategies that actually support where they're trying to go.

Sometimes that means rebuilding a website. Sometimes it's developing a content or SEO strategy. Sometimes it's helping a leadership team clarify their message, identify what's missing, and decide what they should—and shouldn't—be spending their time and money on.

As Founder of StoryArk Digital Marketing and a Fractional CMO, my job is to see the bigger picture, connect the pieces, and help organizations move forward with confidence.

Marketing Strategy

Strategy Before Tactics

It's easy to jump straight to the thing.

A new website.
More social media.
Google Ads.
SEO.
A new campaign.

But good marketing starts one step earlier.

What are we trying to accomplish—and what's actually keeping us from getting there?

That's the question I love helping organizations answer.

My approach combines brand strategy, messaging, digital marketing, leadership, and practical execution to create marketing that feels less like a collection of tactics and more like a plan.

A Few Things I've Helped Build

INcompassing Education

INcompassing Education website

Building a Digital Presence Designed to Be Found

INcompassing Education had an incredible mission and valuable resources for educators. Our job was to make sure their digital presence communicated that value clearly—and helped the right people discover them.

I helped lead the strategy behind a new website designed around their audiences, services, and goals, while incorporating an ongoing SEO strategy to improve organic visibility.

My Role

  • Website strategy and development

  • Messaging and content direction

  • SEO strategy

  • Ongoing optimization

  • Digital marketing consultation

The Bigger Goal: Create a website that doesn't simply explain what INcompassing Education does, but actively supports their growth by helping educators and school leaders find the resources they need.

Turning a Strong Reputation Into a Stronger Digital Brand

John Mast Construction already had something marketing can't manufacture: a reputation built through quality work and trusted relationships.

The opportunity was to make sure their digital presence reflected it.

We developed a website that communicates who they are, showcases their craftsmanship, and makes it easy for prospective customers to understand why they should trust John Mast Construction with their project.

That story continues through ongoing Facebook management, where we showcase projects, people, expertise, and the quality behind the brand.

My Role

  • Brand and marketing strategy

  • Website strategy and development

  • Messaging

  • Facebook strategy and management

  • Ongoing marketing consultation

The Bigger Goal: Make the experience someone has with John Mast Construction online match the reputation they've built offline.

Building More Than Marketing

Some of the work I'm most proud of doesn't fit neatly into a marketing portfolio.

Because sometimes the best way to grow an organization—or a community—is to create a place where people can connect.

Business Leaders Roundtable

The Business Leaders Roundtable was created to give local business owners and leaders something we all need: a room where we don't have to have all the answers.

Through monthly gatherings, local leaders share experiences, work through real challenges, learn from one another, and build relationships with people who understand the weight and opportunity of leadership.

I've helped develop and lead the Roundtable from its strategy and programming to promotion, communication, and facilitation.

Because better-connected leaders build stronger businesses—and stronger communities.

Join our Facebook Group to connect with area leaders.

Non-Profit Leaders Roundtable

Non-profit leadership comes with its own unique challenges. Limited resources. Big missions. Fundraising pressure. Volunteers. Boards. Teams. And an almost endless list of needs competing for attention.

The Non-Profit Leaders Roundtable creates space for those leaders to learn from one another, solve problems together, and remember they don't have to carry their mission alone.

I help lead the strategy, programming, communication, and facilitation of these gatherings alongside WFRN.

The goal isn't another networking event. It's meaningful connection that helps local leaders keep moving their missions forward.

A Little About Me

I'm a strategist by profession, but people have always been at the center of my work.

My career hasn't followed a perfectly straight line—and I'm grateful for that.

I've worked in insurance, customer service, entrepreneurship, ministry, radio, leadership, and digital marketing. Each chapter taught me something different about people: how they make decisions, what earns their trust, why communication matters, and how powerful it is when someone feels genuinely understood.

Today, I serve as the Founder of StoryArk Digital Marketing and help lead both StoryArk and WFRN.

I love taking complicated problems, finding the thread that connects them, and turning them into something people can actually act on.

But the work matters to me because people matter.

I believe business can be a force for good. I believe leadership is about serving people well. And I believe great marketing should feel less like convincing someone and more like helping the right person recognize, "This is exactly what I've been looking for."

Outside of work, I'm a wife, mom, active in my church and community, and probably drinking iced coffee somewhere while thinking about a problem I wasn't technically supposed to be working on.

Not Sure What Your Marketing Needs Next?

That's actually a great place to start.

You don't need to walk into the conversation knowing whether you need SEO, a new website, better social media, or an entirely different strategy.

That's what we'll figure out together.

Let's look at where your business is going, what's working, what's getting in the way, and what your marketing needs to do to help you get there.
